Air Conditioner Gas

REFRON R-22 is a chlorodifluoromethane (HCFC-22) based refrigerant used in air conditioning and cooling systems. Supplied in an Indian-made cylinder with 13.6 kg net charge, it is colorless, odorless and non-flammable for safe handling. It is preferred as a charging gas in residential, commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration installations using reciprocating compressors. Its high purity (≥ 99.8%), low moisture and low acidity protect the compressor and circuit components while ensuring stable cooling performance. With a boiling point of -40.8 °C it offers a wide operating range. Ideal for servicing, maintenance and top-up work, the cylinder should be applied by qualified technicians using proper equipment. Note: R-22 is being phased out in many countries due to its ozone impact; it is supplied for the maintenance of existing systems.
